Yup, I go to McDonalds (don't judge me)

Yup, Reader, for two reasons, my daughter LOVES plain cheeseburgers, and I like their coffee. And to be fully transparent, I love coffee. I have an espresso maker at home, but when I want drip coffee, I find that McDonald's coffee is above average.

But what I find interesting is that I go there because, for every 7th coffee, I get a free coffee. It started with the coffee stickers.

Well, in Canada, at least, McDonald's provides these coffee stickers right on the side of the cup so that you can collect them on a card that is also offered on the other side.

It's actually genius!

Not only am I happy with the cup of java, but I have an opportunity to engage with the brand by peeling the sticker and putting it on an existing card. If I don't have it with me, put it on a new card.

Did I mention that I thought it's genius?

This type of engagement drives customer loyalty through an innovative rewards system.

It brings me to my newest episode on The Business Leadership Podcast, where I sit down with Imran Khan. He is the Head of Global Innovation at TD Bank Group, where we discuss the changing expectations of customers.

In our conversation, he shares how TD is leveraging AI to provide a personalized experience to help customers discover new insights about their finances. You can listen here when he mentions that apps are involved from a self-service tool to an engagement platform that customers expect.

As I look to scale Slingshot, my business telecommunications business, it got me thinking about how we can innovate to drive engagement which leads to customer loyalty.

Suppose you are curious how TD is leveraging AI to drive customer engagement, loyalty and rewards. In that case, you won't want to miss this episode.

This is an informative and fun episode where I take the conversation from AI to work-life balance and recruiting in the financial tech space.

Have a 100X flowtastic day!

Gratefully,

Edwin
